Programme Profile
The Master's programme comprises 120 credit points according to the European Credit Transfer System. In full-time study, the duration of study is 4 semesters (2 years). Part-time study is possible (between 1 and 3 modules per semester).
The Master's programme is modular. 14 modules must be completed, in which theoretical and practical competencies from different areas of the subject and educational sciences and health professional educational work are taught. In pedagogically oriented modules with integrated practical study phases, students are prepared for their tasks in the training and continuing education of the health professions as well as in health professional education work. Research-oriented modules serve to expand and deepen existing research competencies as well as critically examine research results in educational science. The third semester is designated and recommended as a mobility window.
For more details, please refer to the module overview and module descriptions in the study regulations.
Possibility of part-time study while working
Students are supported in the context of possible part-time study to reconcile study and career as well as family through flexible study conditions (choice of throughbetween 1 and 3 modules, free timing of practical study phases) and through institutional offers (e.g. family-friendly times) as well as individual advice from the Charité.
